99ers Studio ("we", "us", or "our") built the QR Code Generator & Scanner app. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our app.
QR codes you create and scan are processed on your device and are not sent to 99ers Studio servers. The app does not require a 99ers Studio account.
The free version uses Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect or share data such as IP address (which may be used to estimate general or approximate location), app interactions, diagnostic information, device identifiers, and advertising identifiers. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Consent choices are requested where required, and ads are not requested until Google's consent SDK reports that they may be requested.
The app requests access to your device camera solely for the purpose of scanning QR codes and barcodes. Camera input is processed in real time on your device. We do not record, store, or upload any images or video captured by the camera.
On current Android versions, gallery scanning uses the system photo picker, so the app receives only the image you select rather than broad access to your photo library. Generated QR images are saved through the platform media service. On Android 9 and earlier, saving may require the legacy storage permission. Selected and generated images are not uploaded to our servers.
The app uses the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
The app has "Send Feedback" and "Report a Bug" buttons. These do not send anything by themselves. They open your device's own email app with a prefilled draft that you can read, edit, or discard. Sending is your action, in your own email program.
If you do send it, we receive your email address, whatever you wrote, and the app version. The bug-report template additionally prefills your Android version, so that a report can be reproduced -- you can delete those lines before sending. We use this only to reply to you and to fix the reported problem, and we keep it no longer than needed for that. Feedback is therefore not anonymous: your email address is visible to us, as with any email you send.
This app is not directed to children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal data through a third-party service used by the app, please contact us.
QR content remains on-device, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Google states that Mobile Ads data is encrypted in transit. Third-party advertising and store services protect the data they process under their own security practices.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately upon being posted on this page.
